After receiving a big success from the already well-known game series, “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” returns as an action movie, set to appear in May 28, 2010, featuring the team that created “Pirates of the Caribbean”. The film promises to be adventurous and highly entertaining, with a similar plot to that already known: love, adventure, mystically blended into one magnificent movie.
Action takes place in 6th Century Persia, and it all basically starts by describing a Persian nobleman who desired a long lost Sand of Time, a present sent directly from the Gods. Just as the Prince of Persia movie pics stand to prove, this will be quite an adventure for us viewers as well. It is said that this magical gift will allow its owner to turn time back. More so, the release of the Sands of Time, through an ancient Dagger of Time, will give its possessor the gift of power, allowing him to rule the world, thus making the famous nobleman crave for it even more, for it would allow him to enslave everyone. When the Sands fall all over the world, every living thing they touch will automatically turn into a monster. Thus begins the adventure of fighting against evil forces, and returning the sand into the HourGlass before it is too late. Dastan will struggle to repair any damage done by the greedy noble man. But for more details, we should all wait for the release of the Prince of Persia, set to be on May 28th, this year.
This is the point when the viewer actually meets Jake Gyllenhaal, playing the young Persian Prince, named Dastan. He is pure of heart, brave and fearless, the only person able to fight against the villain. With the help of Gemma Arterton, playing as the beautiful Princess Tamina, together they will save Persia from the greedy hands of the lord, fighting to protect the Sand of Time.

The first trailer for the movie has been released quite early, around November 2009.We have managed to gather a few useful links for those who want to catch a glimpse of the upcoming movie: check out the collection below – Prince of Persia movie trailers for the 2010 release:
